What are the best practices to prevent waste?
There are 3 main solutions that we will explore:
- Reduce
- Reuse
- Donate
REDUCE: First of all we should inform ourselves about how to change lifestyle in order to reduce consumption. One possible way would be buying responsibly just what is necessary
Tip: No, you don’t need that Tommy Hilfiger underwear!!!
REUSE: Refuse plastic bags, cups, forks which are usually for a single use and rather prefer reusable options such bio shopping bags.
Tip: If you bought those Tommy Hilfiger underwear, try to wear them for a longer time!!!
DONATE: When you get bored of your clothes or shoes, don’t throw them, donate to less fortunate people. Choose those supermarkets which instead of throwing goods, they show social responsibility by donating to poor people and animal shelters.
Tip: No, you cannot donate your underwear, but you can donate other kinds of clothes!!!
What about recycling?
The resources of the Earth are not unlimited and they are needed by the future generations. Recycling can provide raw materials in order to produce other products, it keeps clean the environment around us.
Put organic waste in a separated bin so that it can be used as a fertilizer for cultivations.
In communities more collecting points for recyclable waste must be created.
Tip: By the way, if you cannot reuse or donate your Tommy Hilfiger underwear, it can be recycled!!!
