<< Objectives >>

We know the importance of digital technology in our world and we also know how this can support the youth that we work with. Through different support methods we can help our youth seek employment, believe in themselves and their strengths and be able to overcome their fears.

This Training Course is designed for youth workers and youth leaders that are interested in technology and interfacing. During this training we will use the well-established Lego kit, Lego Mindstorms Education EV3 set. In this particular training we will be familiarizing ourselves with the intelligent EV3 Brick and assorted sensors and motors.
Through this they will learn how to control the Driving Base and trigger events based on input from the selected sensors and get the fundamentals of more complex topics, such as programming loop, arrays, data wires, switches and much more.

The aim of this course is to give the individuals the knowledge that they need to manipulate the hardware and software components that make up the Robot Educator Content Pack and Lego Mindstorms Education Software. The outcome after this training the participants will evolve in:
Teamwork and Social Skills, Communication and Language skills Lowering Anxiety and Stress, Problem solving, Mathematics and Spatial Awareness, Creativity and Experimentation, Physical Development, Perseverance and Management of Frustrations, Self-Confidence, Patience, Focus and Concentration.

Working methods:
During the training course the themes will be approached in workshops and smaller work groups. We will try to make sure that the participants will be able to express their opinions and themselves through activities that are varied and interactive and will rely upon the abilities and strengths of the participants.
We will pay attention that all of the participants would be able to express their opinion and share ideas in accordance with their language competencies. In the group work we will use methods that energise and motivate everyone. We will always start with some motivating activities such a video or a case study or a role play, so everyone even those who have some lower language level to tell their opinions and then move to talking in front of bigger groups. The chosen methods will be: non formal learning approaches using simulations, role plays, energizers, reflections/debriefing, case studies/hands on designing.

The basics of our methodologies are active co-operative learning combining experience and theory implementation. This way we will define our methods: learning by games, round-table conference, moderated discussions, learning by doing, plenary sessions, interactive work based on advanced preparations, creative workshops with coaching.
It is sometimes said that in international projects cultural stereotypes might affect the working procedure and the team spirit. The group leaders will prepare the participants in advance for the possible conflicts and will work on that the participants will be tolerant and respectful with each other. The proposed games, workshops and discussions will also serve this purpose as the participants will be able to spend long time with mixed groups. We will also organise cultural evenings where promoters will have the opportunity to show aspects of their country, region and language. This will enhance the acceptance and enforce social inclusion in practice.

We plan activities for enhancing the process of NFL. All activities will be targeted. That means all activities will be organized and structured according to our objectives. Moreover we will focus on the participants’ motivation and interest during the training period. As soon as the project will be approved by the NA we will search and ask for the participants’ learning and practical experiences and needs for self-improvement and so we will plan our daily agenda of NFL accordingly. We also planned not so strict in implementation and timeline activities because we aim to flexibility during learning process and in methods and approaches.

<< Implementation >>

The participants do not need to be professional in LEGO Mindstorm EV3, digital literacy, however they do not need be eager to learn as this will be a learning journey where together through non formal education and self directed learning will lead to a successful learning process. Participants need to be working with young people in their everyday reality, are active or willing to be active and are interested to explore their use in the LEGO Mindstorms EV3 and the digital world.

They also need to be comfortable in speaking and understanding the English language as this will be the language in which the training course will be delivered in. In order to have full participation good command of the English language is needed. In case of difficulties in understanding something due to the language, the trainers speak various European languages and that would be an asset to explaining again in the participant’s mother tongue.

All activities are based on non formal education methods, learning to learn and self directed learning. There will be simulations, hands on work and sharing of knowledge.

Preference should be given to those who will be willing to implement what they learnt in the training course in their organisations and transfer the knowledge gained to their young people. Participants need to be interested and willing in developing social media projects focused on active participation of young people.

Partners are responsible for the selection of participants through continuously communication with the organizers. No participants will be excluded cause of economical, educational or other disadvantage background.

<< Results >>

Personal impact
For the participants, measures have been taken towards the inspiring effect of the topic of the training course so that they bring social networking as a means to promote their good practices closer to their daily youth work practice. Besides inspiration, we ensure that specific knowledge will be fostered and a set of skills will be developed so to use them for multiplying as conveyors to their colleagues, as activists in their local communities and local environment and as project partners in the future.

Organisational impact
The impact on civil society is the responsibility of the partners involved in the project. Through the implementation of this project we will see that all methodologies deployed can be transferred to our partners in practical means. They will be provided with adequate documentation to propogate this first hand learning process withing their proximate community and thus achieve greater reachability both locally, among their communities, but also on a wider European level.

Multiplying effect and sustainable impact
People involved in the project are themselves youth workers or members of youth organisations. These participants from such promoter organisations will be encouraged to act as a multiplier in order to spread the project’s results and/or use these results in the organisation of future projects both within the Erasmus + Programme and beyond (within their own communities or through other funding programmes). Online dissemination of results and tools through our website will serve to further enhance the multiplying effect.

Follow up
As for the follow up, we are hoping to continue with the training course idea in more of the partner organisations which will implement it in the future, of course with all the necessary adjustments according to the organisation’s and country’s specificities. Furthermore, the session “looking forward” of the project is specifically designed to discuss on how to collaborate on the subject of gender issues within the Erasmus + Programme in the future. The discussion will bring different promoters together with the aim of drafting ideas and plans of implementation for possible future projects.

The Art Of The Tolarance project numbered 2021-2-PL01-KA153-YOU-000040849 was supported by the Polish National Agency. The partners of the project coordinated by Idea For Life Association, Tokat Economic Development and Vocational Development Association, Sonrie A Europe (Spain) Jauniesu Attistibas (Latvia) Associate Se Poate (Romania)

The word tolerance is used a lot in Turkish with its different meanings and over every meaning.

Tolerance,

the error limit allowed during a transaction,

Depending on the area to be used, the word tolerance has a very flexible structure. For example, it can be expressed as the highest error limit during a transaction when using it for tolerance purposes in daily life. At the same time, it is also expressed as the resistance limit of multicellular organisms and different living things against drugs. In this direction, it is used as a border line for many different points in the field of medicine.

In Turkish, it is possible to express it as a tolerance limit among the people. In other words, it can also be expressed as the patience of a person against any situation. “I’ve tolerated it up to this point, but I can’t allow it from now on.” This way, you can use it in different sentences or alone. At the same time, it is possible to deal with other meanings in accordance with the field.

A number of trainings were held for young participants to be tolerant of differences. Non-formal learning methods were used in the trainings.

Life Beyond Project 2020-1-MT01-KA105-074126 was supported by Malta National Agency as an Erasmus+ project. Genista (Malta) Tokat Economic Development and Vocational Development Association (Turkey) Rural Center (Northern Ireland) Fattoria Pugliese Diffusa (Italy) and Sonhos De Igualdade (Portugal) in partnership with Malta’s Gozo island.

This is a youth workers project where international participants (youth workers and volunteers working with youth) will visit funeral sites in each other’s countries to understand intercultural differences, organize workshops, discussions, debates and create awareness events using drama, short video clips and mime. Each country has its own funeral rites, often linked to their own religious beliefs, which are deeply rooted in the history and culture of the country. By visiting the burial sites and encouraging discussion/discussion in the visited places of the partner countries, the participants learn about these rites and rituals and, as a result, they also learn about the history and culture of the host country. The topic has been determined because it will bring the participants to the bottom in understanding different cultures, help them better understand that our so-called cultural differences have a common understanding, bring them closer to understanding different people, different cultures, and help determine what brings.

Being closer to each other, accepting refugees, immigrants or foreigners of different faiths among us will improve our society because our NGOs will be empowered through youth workers, learn new knowledge and share their experiences with each other for later use. in local activities. It also aims to help participants understand that cemeteries and cemeteries are often architectural gems. Statues, shrines, and burial sites are often elaborate and ornate, sometimes even featuring fine funerary art. They inform broad questions about commemoration, memory, and identity. It aims to help participants learn and understand about their common common history and different cultures. This will help them:

better understand cultural diversity and intercultural differences;

to help society accept different cultures and traditions, taking into account the different European societies;

Comprehends the importance of common integration in society without prejudice and misunderstandings.

History and cultural heritage is an expression of identity for any community. But it is also an expression of difference for anyone who does not belong to that community. Participants will realize that history and cultural heritage help to position themselves within the environment, thus providing orientation and forming identities, supporting individual and group identity in an increasingly consumerist culture. Individual identity is promoted through history and cultural heritage as they develop the ability to accept their own identity. However, they can be perceived as a symbol of the “other” or even as a threat to one’s own identity. It aims at making this otherness evident so that differences can be emphasized, mediated, mitigated, mediated, and overcome. Tolerance is fostered by embracing the “other”.
During the workshop, study visits, the participants will meet with historical figures who have made the country the nation it is today – artists, politicians, journalists, athletes, etc., who have contributed to the art, music and literature of the nation. They visit the graves of historical figures such as Mass graves of World War II soldiers to remind the futile loss of life so that this never happens again.
During the workshop, it is aimed that participants reflect and reflect on what life is about and what is important, as burial sites bring people in touch with our own death. It exists in order to be aware of the fragility of life and to evaluate it better.
