The “Youth in Climate Action” project aims to empower young people to become active leaders and advocates for climate action and sustainability. The primary objectives are to increase participants’ knowledge and awareness of climate change, enhance their skills in developing community-based resilience strategies, and foster youth engagement in environmental advocacy. The project also seeks to strengthen participants’ personal and professional competences through non-formal education, intercultural exchange, and collaboration with partner organizations. By promoting youth-led initiatives and providing tools for effective climate action, the project will contribute to building resilient communities and inspiring long-term environmental stewardship.

The “Youth in Climate Action” project will include a variety of activities, such as interactive workshops, field visits, experiential learning sessions, community outreach events, and group discussions. These activities will focus on topics such as climate science, sustainable practices, climate policy, and community-based resilience strategies. The project will also involve hands-on activities, such as environmental clean-ups and local climate action initiatives.A total of 24 young participants (6 participants from each partner country: Poland, Cyprus, Turkey, and Romania) will be involved in the project, along with group leaders from each organization. The participants are young people aged 18 to 26 years who are interested in climate action, sustainability, and youth leadership. The group includes a diverse mix of participants, including those with fewer opportunities, to ensure inclusivity and equal participation.

The “Youth in Climate Action” project is expected to have several key results and impacts:
Increased Knowledge and Awareness: Participants will gain a deeper understanding of climate change, sustainable practices, and community resilience. They will leave the project with enhanced knowledge of environmental issues and practical solutions that they can apply in their own communities.
Development of Skills and Competences: Participants will develop key skills, such as leadership, teamwork, communication, and project management, which will empower them to become effective climate advocates and youth leaders.
Community Impact: Through local action plans and community outreach activities, participants will raise awareness about climate issues and promote sustainable practices in their communities, inspiring others to engage in environmental action.
Increased Capacity of Partner Organizations: The project will enhance the capacity of partner organizations to implement youth-led climate initiatives and collaborate on future projects.
Long-Term Engagement: The project will foster long-term engagement among participants and partners, creating a network of young climate advocates who will continue to collaborate and contribute to climate action beyond the project’s duration.
